Better Than Others ?
Harder Than Ever !
Mom, I miss you a lot. You are the light of my life. Entire Burmese have less stretch and travel as they wish when you are in power. I was always on the go in April before COVID 19 in the world. Prepare air ticket and visa for my oversea trip. Everyone in Burma has been hopeless after the coup. Less job opportunity, short of electricity, sky-shooting inflation rate, high price of fuel and civil unrest directly affect the people. Once, peaceful, beautiful, helpful and lovely county’s reputation was tarnished by the junta. Million of grassroots face very difficult situation to survive their living. The Junta’s followers demolished their small huts in the outskirt of the big cities put the oil on the flame. The upper and second class of Burmese suffered the same thing so very hard to go out now.
Any nationality respects Burmese at the time of democracy in Burma. Nowadays they look down on us. Some European countries don’t issue entry visa to their countries. It is pity, when we will have good chance like Mom’s time. Sometimes, I look at my travel diary and photos to share my knowledge which will ease your stress better.
Netherland is well known for windmills, Tulip flowers , drugs and red-light district.
We usually start our journey to Europe in April which is a good time especially in Netherland because there is “Tulip flower festival”. Netherland is well known for windmills, Tulip flowers, drugs and red-light district. Windmills are the landmark of Netherland, we can see through the motor ways after passing the German border into Netherland but they are modern ones. They produce the clean power. For tourist attention, traditional windmills are at the “Zaanse Schans” village, very beautiful and interesting place. It is about half an hour drive from Amsterdam the capital of Netherland. The high-way road in this country is amazing with lamps until Belgium although the country is lower than sea level. That’s why they built several dams around the country. We call the people in Netherland, “Dutch”, they are master of dam and navigation so they colonized Indonesia. They had known how to use the wind since 16 century.
Traditional windmills are much bigger than the modern ones.
We could see the windmills before we arrive the village because the traditional windmills are much bigger than the modern ones. Dutch people use them for water pumping, saw mail. They are like big fans, to control the speed they use campus roll in and out. So many tourists visit there because their trip is not completed without Zaanse Schans village. the landscape is very impressive, the houses are beside the river, windmills are in the green grass next to the river. Travellers go shopping wooden shoes, Dutch cheese and souvenirs.
Keukenhof Garden is not to be missed.
The best tourists attraction is Tulip flowers festival which is a little far from Amsterdam, entrance fee is expensive. Pyin Oo Lwin in Myanmar was very good before I haven’t been to Netherland. About two miles away from Tulip festival place called ” Keukenhof Gardens “, multicoloured of Tulip flowers blanket the whole land both sides of motor way. All my clients in the coach really amaze at the unexpected scene. I have never seen such big flowers farm like this. I’ve to make sure the timing to come back on time because we have to continue the trip. If we are late, driver charges 100 euro per hour. Sometimes, we arrived Netherland earlier than Tulip festival so we miss it. I think, paying a visit to Keukenhof garden is not to miss must be included in the trip.

We lost ourselves into going back.
The temperature is very good in third week of April, may be about 13 to 14 degree Celsius, it is very good to live and walk around. Thousand of visitors come to this place, very busy. We have to rush to buy the tickets which is very tied but I forget everything when I go into the garden. Many beautiful flowers welcome and give the fragrance to visitors. The garden is very big with full of multicoloured flowers, we lost ourselves into going back.
No one is allowed to take picture in red-light area.
Netherland gives fully human rights because the drugs sell legally at the shop on the main road in Amsterdam closed to Dam Square. We normally gather our group there. The Grand Palace, big shopping mall and Madame Tussauds are around the square. If we walk about five minutes from there it is a Church where is the centre of red-light district. The girls are in bikini, looking outside, to enchant their clients inside the narrow room with French door so that we can see through her. There are two lights in front of the room. If they have no client, the light is red colour and open the curtain but the light is green when their partner is in, the curtain also drops. No one is allowed to take picture in red-light area.
The notice, at the foot of statue said that
” Respect sex workers around the World “.
First country to introduce
” the same-sex marriage law in 1April 2001″.
There is one interesting bronze statue of prostitute in the middle of road just beside the Church. The notice, at the foot of statue said that ” Respect sex workers around the World “. Once, the grave yard was right there so secret prostitution was out of control. Later the government created red-light district legally for the tourists. On the other hands, the government earns tax but they make sure to prevent HIV & AIDS. Netherland is the first country to introduce ” the same-sex marriage law in 1April 2001″.
We imported the drugs from your country.
Not only sex is free but also drugs are available easily.
Sex museum and drugs shops sell weed, hash and truffles. Ready-made coffee, cake and lollipop are also available. Basically magic mushrooms are legal in Netherland but must be 18 years old and above. A client of mine said that he wanted to buy cake so I took him to the shop. The shopkeeper asked us where are we from. I answered him we are from Burma. He was surprised and said that we imported the drugs from your country. Oh my God! our country is famous for this case in the West.
His body was buried at the entrance inside the St.Marry.
Another interesting thing is beautiful & grand railway station in Amsterdam, which is beside the cannel . It is for train, car and boat, all in one place. There is a church, just the opposite of railway station that looks like the same as St.Marry cathedral in Yangon because father ” Janson ” from Netherland designed and built St.Marry. Unfortunately, he dropped and died there. His body was buried at the entrance inside the St.Marry. No doubt he copied the design from Netherland.
Taking cruise in the cannels in Amsterdam is unforgettable memory in life. There are two jetties, the first one is at the railway station and another one is in front of Heineken beer head office. It takes about one hour around famous places in Amsterdam. They give audio guide on the cruise in different languages which is very useful for the tourists.
We keep waiting the day of Mom returns home.
I like to give suggestions to all readers is that I was poor and live in a small village when I was young, never dream to go abroad for free of charge but I always try my best whatever I do or help. I never calculate about profit but my motto is “better than others, harder than ever.” If you follow it, I believe, you will have golden opportunity one day, please take it for granted. We keep waiting the day of Mom returns home which is our hope of modern and developed nation but it is beyond hope now.
Hope is the one thing that can help us get through the darkest of times.
